What is Hypnotherapy ?
Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state when a person becomes deeply relaxed or highly focussed - much like a daydream, or reading a good book, or a “pre-sleep” state.
This state enhances memory and perceptions - and a professional hypnotherapist initiates and regulates this state to assist desired changes to bring about many beneficial effects.

The Myths!
You will not lose consciousness and will be aware of everything that is being said and everything going on around you.
You can awaken at any time but it is unlikely that you would want to do so as it is such a pleasant feeling.
Clinical Hypnosis is not stage hypnosis and does not result in bizarre behaviours.
You will not reveal all your secrets. Although the hypnotherapist directs you, it is you that is essentially in control and you reveal only the things that you wish to.
